Kiho Kang (http://kangkiho.com/) is een Koreaanse Master. Wat een eer om hem in Amersfoort te mogen ontvangen!

Hij studeerde in 2009 in Korea af als Master of Fine Arts en deed vervolgens nog een Master of Fine Arts in Koblenz.

Sinds 2008 wint hij de ene prijs na de andere en is zijn werk internationaal bekend en geliefd.

Een unieke kans om in Nederland les van hem te krijgen.

Inhoud van de masterclass (Engels):

The coil technique is the oldest and most archaic method of constructing vessels. Over centuries, this way of shaping vessels has been cultivated across all cultures. The tactile quality and lightness of the vessels will inspire course participants who enjoy hand-building to refine their own work. Not only can participants learn the traditional coil technique, but they can also intertwine the fascinating methods of the Asian tradition while maintaining a modern style.

Kiho offers workshops on the topic of “Building Techniques with Porcelain.” In these workshops, he teaches how to build porcelain pieces delicately and professionally. The workshop is also suitable for beginners. Participants will have the opportunity to get to know and understand the material, porcelain. The main goal of the workshop is to create a teapot (for beginners) or a small vase (for advanced participants). If someone prefers to build their own desired object, this is of course also possible by arrangement.

Ervaring met keramiek is prettig maar niet noodzakelijk.

Het gemaakte werk kan in overleg ter plaatse worden gebakken (tegen meerkosten).
